Christmas Holiday Activities & Food Programme 2025

Delivered by Communities First in partnership with Majestic Services and proudly sponsored by Croydon Council’s HAF Team.

This Christmas, we delivered a warm, inclusive Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme for children and young people in Croydon, providing a safe space to stay active, connect with others, and enjoy nutritious meals during the winter holidays.

Across the programme, participants took part in a varied mix of football, dance, gaming, music, and wellbeing activities, alongside positive group discussions focused on communication, respect, and relationships. The programme finished with a high-energy trip to Flip Out, Croydon, giving young people a fun and memorable end to the holidays.

Fuelled by Good Food

Each day, children received hot, healthy meals and snacks, helping to reduce food insecurity over the Christmas period and ensuring they had the energy to fully engage in activities. Families shared positive feedback on the quality and consistency of the food provided.

A Supportive and Inclusive Space

The programme placed strong emphasis on inclusion and wellbeing, with experienced staff providing additional support where needed. Calm spaces, flexible activities, and trusted relationships helped children feel safe, confident, and valued throughout the week.

The Christmas HAF programme reflected our continued commitment to supporting children, young people, and families through high-quality, inclusive holiday provision — creating positive experiences, strengthening connections, and ending the year on a high note.
